Apply Online or Request Admissions Information

Online Application Technical Support: If you are experiencing problems with the online application (login, payment submission, etc.) please call (612) 301-4357 (when prompted, press '1' then '7') or e-mail admhelp@umn.edu.

Application Status: Students applying for Fall 2009 can expect a 4-6 week turnaround time to process complete applications. If an application is missing a required item, we will send a notice out to the student. Please note that due to mailing costs, we do not mail out notices that we have received an application or items for an application.

Apply Online

1. Create an account with the University of Minnesota.

You will need a University of Minnesota account to apply for admission online. You can create a guest account for this purpose. For details, see: Why do I need to create an account?.

2. Complete the Online Application for Admission (For Undergraduates Only)

The form will open in a new window. You will be expected to either log in or create a new account within the University of Minnesota system.

This service is not available between 4:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. CT.

If you encounter problems with the online application (i.e. credit card will not submit) or you have login or pin number questions, please call (612) 301-4357 (when prompted, press '1' then '7') or e-mail admhelp@umn.edu.

3. Download the High School Official Application Addendum (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader)

High school students applying online should download the "High School Official Application Addendum" to submit to their high school officials when requesting high school transcripts.
