High School and College Transcripts |
All students are required to submit official High School transcripts showing completion or progress toward completion of a minimum of the following courses: |
High School Preparation Requirements |
3 Years Math (including a minimum of Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, and Geometry) 3 Years Science (1 year each of biological & Physical Science) 3 Years Social Studies (Including U.S. History) 2 Years Single Second Language Students who have completed any college coursework including PSEO and College in the Schools outside of the University of Minnesota system are required to submit official college transcripts. |

All new entering students are required to submit scores from either the ACT or SAT exams including writing Students planning to enter UMD for Fall 2006 and beyond are REQUIRED to submit results from the ACT Assessment Plus Writing or SAT. |
Admissions Criteria |
Students who rank at or above the 65th percentile (top 35%) in their high school graduating class and have met the above requirements will be admitted automatically Students who rank between the 40th and 64th percentile (top 60%), or whose high schools do not rank, and have met the above requirements may be admitted based on ACT or SAT exam scores |
