Completing Your Application to the

Graduate Program in Communication Sciences and Disorders University of Minnesota Duluth

1.  What do I need to submit to apply?

 

A completed application consists of the following components:

 

  1. University of Minnesota Graduate School Application
  2. Undergraduate transcripts
  3. Three (3) letters of recommendation; two of which must be from professors familiar with your academic performance and your potential to succeed in graduate school.  Letters of recommendation are to be submitted using the Applicant Recommendation Form.
  4. A writing sample in the form of a personal statement that addresses your short term and long term academic and professional goals, why you are interested in pursuing a graduate degree in Speech Language Pathology, and why you are interested in pursuing your degree at UMD.

3.  How can I keep track of my application?

 

Apply Yourself will allow you to keep tabs of ALL parts of your application.  It would be a good idea for you to check on the progress of your application in ApplyYourself periodically to ensure your application is complete and submitted.

 

4.  Will the department notify me when my application is complete?

 

No. You are responsible for making sure that all components of your application are complete and submitted by the application deadline (Monday, February 1, 2010).
