A recently installed Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) has been expanding the research capabilities of the College, UMD and broader Northeastern Minnesota community. The lab is open for use by students, faculty and staff of UMD, as well as regional commercial and non-profit groups with a need for the analytical services the lab can provide.
A Swenson College of Science and Engineering team has received a $200,000 National Science Foundation over the next two years to conduct a program to help women advance in science and engineering careers. (read more)
