What is the Help Desk?
The Help Desk serves as a liaison between our customers and the ITSS technical staff, monitoring and coordinating solutions to customer needs. Our mission is to be a single point of contact for technology problem reporting and technical assistance needs of the UMD campus community. Help Desk staff strive to ensure customer satisfaction by providing prompt, courteous, and effective support.
For the best service, we recommend that you make our Help Desk your first contact when you need help with your technology applications.
Reporting problems after hours
Although ITSS doesn't provide around-the-clock support for our services, we often have staff monitoring our systems and Help Desk voicemail during off hours.
To report a problem when the Help Desk is closed, you may:
- Call the Help Desk (8847, or 726-8847) and leave a voice mail message
- Submit a problem report with our online web form: General Service Request/Problem Report
