Scholarship Opportunities
President's Outstanding Minority and Morton S. Katz Scholarship:
Hispanic/Latino/Chicana High School seniors who have demonstrated high academic
potential are invited to apply for this scholarship program.
Awards range from $1,000 to $3,000 per year, and are renewable up to four years
subject satisfactory academic progress. Applications are available through
the UMD admissions office.
Harry
Oden Scholarship:
The Harry Oden Scholarship provides scholarship funds to students
from underrepresented ethnic populations and students with disabilities
to allow their studies to continue at UMD. Eligibility requirements include:
sophomores, juniors, and seniors enrolled at UMD who demonstrate financial
need with a minimum GPA of at least 2.5 For more information contact

Minnesota
Hispanic Education Program:
This
program awards scholarship moneys to high school seniors of Hispanic
heritage. Eligibility requirements include: Minnesota residency, full-time
enrollment in college, and financial need. Awards are renewable.

National
Hispanic Scholarship Fund:
The
National Hispanic Scholarship Fund assists Hispanic American students
in completing their higher education. Eligibility requirements include:
US. citizenship or permanent residency and at least 15 credits of college
work prior to submission of application. Undergraduate students must
be carrying a minimum of 12 credits and graduate students a minimum of
six credits.
